As the fight against corruption thickens, more evidence are popping up against many top politicians in Nigeria including the Former Governor Rotimi Amaechi, now minister of Transport.
A piece of evidence that the Integrity Group has presented to back their claims that the EFCC boss is lying regarding certain details of the nation’s antigraft war.
According to reports by The Whistle, Magu, recently told the press that his agency has not received any petition against members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
He made this statement in response to mounting accusations that the EFCC under his leadership is being used as a tool for political witch hunt.
Magu said: “Such accusations have come up a lot, but we work with petitions before us. In fact, I am eager and waiting for something from the other side, but nothing has come so far.”
However, the proof shows that there was a petition received by the EFCC and duly acknowledged against the former Rivers state governor, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, who is not just a party leader within the APC ranks but Nigeria’s minister of transport and aviation.
It will be recalled that Magu was recently accused of shielding President Muhammadu Buhari’s associates from probe.
